Volunteer at INWF

We appreciate your interest in learning more about our volunteer program. The program is designed for you to have an engaging experience while helping to fulfill our mission. We offer volunteer opportunities for involvement in outreach activities and programs in order to have a greater impact for change. We want to stop the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health so that more people will seek help more often in a comfortable manner. Volunteers may offer basic education on topics such as human rights, discrimination and stigma, substance use, alcoholism, trauma, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, eating disorder, abuse and violence, addictive disorders, adjustment disorder, correction, counseling. We want to educate people about possible signs and symptoms and provide guidance on how to get help. We want vulnerable individuals to become aware, and to know that there is hope and help awaiting, while understanding how to find that help. We want to listen to mentally ill individuals and let them know that their voices matter.
